I had a conversation with a guy on Hinge. He’s been living here for 15 years but complains about our German and how “backward” Switzerland is.

    Diese widerliche Arroganz und Überheblichkeit, welche manche an den Tag legen, ist mit ein Grund wieso ich ausgewandert bin und in der Schweiz lebe.
    Vor allem wenn man sich den aktuellen Status von DE anschaut sollte man mal gaaanz still sein.

    Sind auch die besten, wandern aus und profitieren von der Schweiz und machen sie dann runter.
    Was ein Wichser.

    Und was das mit der Sprache soll versteh ich erst recht nicht.

  9. Ich glaube, ich hätte nicht so starke Nerven gehabt, um diesen ✨unangenehmen Zeitgenossen ✨ in die Flucht zu schreiben. Respekt! ich finde, du hast ihm gut den Spiegel vorgehalten. Hoffen wir mal, der wollte nur provozieren und ist nicht wirklich so ein Arschloch. Sonst könnte das noch schwierig werden, hier zu leben. Aber das mit dem Dich-Kennenlernen hat sich hoffentlich schon nach dem “Bauerndeutsch” erübrigt 🤔

  12. Swiss German being Bauerndeutsch is no lie, it is basically a country of farmers that got rich and still sound like they’re all from an inbred village in the middle of nowhere.

    There’s some interesting points raised.

    It’s not 15 years, the swiss language as is, is due to mainly reformation and has been spoken as such since the middle ages , starting over 1000 years ago.

    Germans had to unify their language at the time of Luther and it was formalised in the 19th century.

    Swiss German is hand down more badass, we don’t even need books, write as you hear 🙂

    We learn 2 to 3 languages in school and pick up English in the cinema like it’s nothing. Some parts of Germany used to learn Russian, which has proven to be a bad choice economically, we can navigate fluently through Italy and France, winning local sympathies.

    It’s not Germans who made us rich, our dear banks will be happy to take custody from any businessman, color, religión, race don’t matter, we have the full portfolio, from Assad to Zimbabwe, it’s in our neutral, non discriminatory blood:-)

    I have plenty of banker friends, uh, because I have worked in one of them, the imperialistic infringement of the world police (united stasi of America)which has disrupted the bank geheimnis has been a mere scratch, in no time, Switzerland became the banking place to be again, fast adaption and creativity(this is not a joke, they really say it’s hands down the best).

    So this guy wants….to date you? Lol.
