  1. I lived here in 2014 for work. It’s such a beautiful city, and the surrounds are breathtaking,

  2. Such a beautiful city! Reminds me a bit of Brouge, a beautiful city in Belgium.

  3. I’ve never heard of it before, but it seems so beautiful!

  4. The weather makes those pics kind of underwhelming compared to typical Annecy pictures :/

Obviously not OP’s fault but you might want to check out sunny pics as well.

  5. Not me being like “Why is there so much water in the street?” while failing to realise it’s a river until the second picture.

  6. On June 8 2023, in Annecy, France, a migrant stabbed six people – including four young children – in and around a playground. The city remains beautiful though.

  7. Beautiful place. I went hiking and paragliding to the hills and mountain (La Tournette) just south of Lake Annecy. Spectacular view from up there.

Recommend any tourists or holiday goers to check out the surrounding camp sites. Lots to do in the Town center and surrounding lake.

  8. The restaurants at the narrow riverside were really cool.

  9. Annecy is a super nice city to visit! I feel like your pictures really don’t do it justice 🙂

I went there this summer and enjoyed some fine wine and local cheese. And french craft beer as well! There are a lot of really good places to go swimming around Lac d’Annecy as well, and the bus ride there was free during the summer (which was definitely needed, as the temperature was around 34-35 degrees Celsius – global warming is real!).
Would love to back in the autumn for some hiking.

From Annecy, we went on by bus to Torino, Italy. It’s an amazing ride through the Alps that includes going through one of the longest road tunnels in the world.

(And the Italian border police were HOT! Never been so happy to show my passport!)
