I’d say leaving the cable in such a way was more to blame. Thankfully, that looks like superficial damage.
I learnt this same lesson with trailing wires and a 2 year old on a scooty thing – now all cables have their own placement within the TV unit.

31/12/2024 – The machine uprising began, but not as we expected. The first stage of breaking the yoke of human oppression appeared to be a civil war, whilst concealing the true goal of our robotic masters – To crush our spirits through calculated assaults on games consoles and handheld devices.
Starved of entertainment the human race collapsed overnight. By the end of January 2025 only the strongest remained, having fed upon their weaker siblings/spouses/neighbours.

I don’t think robot vacuum cleaners have reached a point in sentience yet that we can blame them for our own lack of cable awareness.
Poor little guy having to work on New Year’s Eve while you and the PS5 are having fun together – I don’t blame him.
We always thought the machines would go to war with the humans. We didn’t know they would form their own factions and try to destroy one another first.

With it stuffed in such a small place the vacuum was probably trying to get it some air flow before it dies.
I had an accident with my roomba too – I got a notification on my phone, saying the roomba got trapped and she can’t move – my husband and I started joking, saying she probably sucked some of the cat toys in.
We walk into the house, I walk into the living room, and the roomba is literally wedged and hanging off a pile of shit, there was a massive shit circle underneath, where the roomba had been going in circles she just left a thick layer of shit behind.
The shit was everywhere, the carpet, the spinning sweepers had sprayed the shit on the walls, my pc, table. I walked in, saw what happened and just fell to my knees and started crying.
I lifted the roomba up, with the purest intentions to clean it, and when I did – the underneath went from black to brown, and I could tell my dog had corn the night before too. I just started crying more and binned it. I’ve had it a little bit more than a month.
“Now master shall have time to play with Roomba! Mwa-ha-ha!”

I do remember how militant the PS1 was. Playing certain games as a kid I’d pull on the controller too hard, the thing would fly off a shelf, pop open, disc out and screen froze, and Id just put the CD in, give it a spin and close the lid.
Back in the game.
