    *Jay-Z is opening yet another new front in his all-out attack on the Jane Doe accuser who alleges he sexually assaulted her with Sean Combs when she was a minor [aged 13] in September 2000.*

    *After suing the woman’s lawyer for extortion, vehemently denying the woman’s claims in a lengthy X post, and asking for expedited orders unmasking the woman and striking her complaint, Jay-Z’s lawyer filed new court paperwork Monday saying he also plans to challenge the lawsuit on the grounds that Doe’s decades-old rape claim simply doesn’t qualify for revival under the “lookback” window linked to New York City’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act (GMVA).*

    *In his filing, lawyer Alex Spiro said the GMVA wasn’t enacted until Dec. 19, 2000, a full three months after the alleged rape.*

    *[…] In his Monday filing, Spiro further argued that Doe’s claim wouldn’t qualify for revival under the GMVA for the added reason that the statute was enacted by the New York City Council and only applies to conduct within city limits.*

    *He said the alleged afterparty venue described in Doe’s lawsuit as a “large white residence with a gated U-shaped driveway” located about 20 minutes away from Radio City Music Hall by car “would have been located outside the territorial boundaries of New York City.”*

    If I had the money and resources to find out someone was falsely accusing me of rape or any other serious crime I would go as hard at them as they tried with me.

    People in this thread have no common sense and it’s scary that people think defending yourself from others disrespecting your name and reputation through false accusations means you’re “Guilty” lmao

    He’s just trying to expose her for being a fraud, and that lawyer just trying to make a buck, which if true, is deserved.

  23. FIRST, if you didn’t think he was guilty before…this move shows that very likely he’s guilty.

    SECOND, since the victim was a minor at the time, there might not be a statute of limitations.

    But honestly, how dirty is that? To be able to use the legal system and its laws to shield you from the consequences of your own actions that broke laws set forth by said legal system.

    Survivors of rape are still alive, but because the statute of limitations on these crimes, the victim may likely never get justice. On the other hand, rapists can bank on statutes of limitations and get away with rape. A statute of limitation on rape cases doesn’t help victims, it helps rapists get away with crimes and gives the police an excuse not to investigate further
