  1. We’ll see about that Steve, oligarchs always get their way.

  2. Of course Elmo’s enemies are going to win an argument on a platform Elmo runs

They surely won’t get censored because Elmo is the greatest free speech absolutist of our time right?

  3. > According to the former Trump strategist, who previously called Musk a “toddler” after the X (formerly Twitter) owner profanely attacked his right-wing critics, there wasn’t a MAGA “civil war” on immigrant workers because Musk is “not tough enough” and “folded” on the issue amid the far-right backlash.

So there’s no factionalism within the Republican party… But I guess hurling petty insults at your supposed allies and incessantly arguing about an issue that was once a unifying cause, and has now obviously created a schism between the party’s most influential and powerful figures doesn’t count.

  4. Ah yes a little game of poke the bear. This should end the civil war in MAGA in a way that’s great for democrats with a bit of luck.

  5. Steve, you really should’ve picked a different color when you decided you were always gonna be wearing a coat. Brown doesn’t age well in fascists movements.

  6. It’s almost as if Bannon and Musk are fighting over the same girl friend

  7. Literally confirms there is a civil war with that one comment.

  8. Musk is expecting a return on that quarter billion dollars investment, so he will be patient for a while. At one point, however, his gigantic ego will go into “fuck it” mode.

    And it will be glorious…

  9. In the H-1B debate it would be helpful to not lose the plot and keep the main thing the main thing.

H-1B visas are primarily a vehicle for US corporations to get access to cheaper foreign labor with reduced labor protections. H1B workers always live under the threat of being deported if they lose their job, which forces them to be more compliant to their corporate masters while they’re here. If we really cared about improving US workers’ tech skills, we’d just spend money training and educating US citizens, especially our many intelligent and ambitious veterans.

[Corporate document reveals how tech firms ignore the law and systematically rob migrant workers](https://www.epi.org/publication/new-evidence-widespread-wage-theft-in-the-h-1b-program/)

  10. What’s truly wild is that Bannon has been calling out the Vance-Musk-Thiel-etc. ideological project (i.e. Mencius Moldbug’s “dark enlightenment”). Given their view of corporatist autocracy is whole reason they’re on board and driving the Trump train, Bannon going after it seems to indicate that he’s digging in further for a big fight against the tech oligarchs (though not because he cares about reining in oligarchy but because the oligarchy isn’t racist enough). I can’t figure out if this creates an opening for the anti-oligarchy lefties to peel off some MAGA support or if it’s just more of a personality conflict that will be resolved with some kind of internal settlement.

  11. Tech bros want more H1Bs, MAGA wants fewer: end result is almost certainly Trump doing nothing, as that’s what’s easiest to do and doesn’t cost him anything. A compromise that would reform the system while increasing the head count for companies that conveniently include Musks might seem like something a person could imagine, but compromising with MAGA is like trying to arm wrestle a catfish.

This issue is a political goldmine for MAGA, however, and I’d expect them to keep bringing it up like a cudgel.

You can tell that neither side is serious about trying to make any moves on this yet, that it’s just posturing, because neither side has pointed out that this splits democratic voters as well. If this does get serious, Musk will reach out to finance and corporations aka democratic moderates, and MAGA will try to forge alliances with the left.

(So, I guess, spoiler: democratic moderates will be trying to frame this as about how MAGA’s position is rooted in racism, while left will be talking about how this is all about President Musk and the greed and power of oligarchs.)

  12. Elon Musk got Trump to bend the knee. There’s no MAGA civil war because Musk already won.

  13. Man, Stevie, you really like fighting foreigner grifters sniffing around circles of power, don’t ya? I mean Seb Gorka last time, and now Elon.

Don’t get me wrong, please continue by all means – it’s just me and my observations

  14. You know we wouldn’t hear about this guy if the media stopped reporting on him.

  15. That’s prison talk there. The guy did hard time so he knows.

  16. Let’s just wait and see what Elon’s twitter alter ego accounts have to say about this

  17. Bannon and his tough-guy bullshit again? He’d drop dead if he tried to throw a punch.

  18. There are exactly 0 tough men who are republicans.

You can tell because they’re all screaming about how tough they are.

  19. “The real opposition is the media. And the way to deal with them is to flood the zone with shit.”

    -Steve Bannon

  20. “Elon Musk is not tough enough,” says 71-year-old alcohol-soaked ball of spoiled bread dough.

  21. MAGA leader who says there is no civil war calls out other MAGA leader.

    Ok, guy.

  22. Shouldnt they just settle that in a free fight octagon like reasonable gentlemen? I ll provide the folding chairs and blunt weapons

  23. I don’t get it, why is Steve Bannon openly attacking the duly-elected President of the USA Elon Musk?

  24. My head says this is Steve Bannon seeing a way to oust musk by playing to Trump’s vanity to hopefully regain his position of prominence, but it feels like a guy who’s egging on the Musk Trump fight as much as possible to watch it all burn.

  25. There’s no MAGA Civil War because Sloppy Steve’s deity bent the knee to President Musk in 48 hours

  26. Another nutter with a massive ego in the room. Brilliant. Wcgw.

  27. God I hope, their ego fights will destroy them all

  28. Elon appears to be pulling the strings while orange dummy dances. Bannon is too stupid to know he has a new daddy.

  29. So Bannion thinks bc he was on home confinement he a hardened ex-con now 🤔🤣 bumping off like he about to shank a mf 😆
