Welfare reforms in 2025 cut support for thousands

  1. Incoming crime, brace yourself and lock up your goods

The government aims to save billions through these welfare reforms and create 100,000 new jobs.

Where are the jobs? Should create these before you remove support?

  2. You can figure out whom their voter base is:

Assets exceeding 10,000 euros for single-person households and 20,000 euros for multi-adult households will now reduce the allowance, with no support granted if assets exceed 50,000 euros. **Summer cottages will be excluded from these calculations.**

“These changes **do not affect pensioners’ housing benefits**….

  3. The only thing this government is competent in is cutting everything that maintains a civil society and equitable society. If it were up to the people, this government would have toppled months and months ago but unfortunately you have RKP who will happily turn a blind eye, and Christian Dems, who we all know bestow the goodwill of Christianity through cutting taxes, making the wealthy wealthier, and going along with any choice ventriloquist Purra chooses because we all know Orpo is attached to her strings like a marionette.

By time we reach 2027, everything will be so unrecognizable that it will take decades to restore. We will need a competent government to overhaul the system yet again because it will be so dismantled.

  4. I’ve called this for years and it’s going to get worse, I’ve said Kela is destined to collapse, and I keep getting downvoted, because “we are not Argentina” or some weird mindset, since parallels are there where welfare has collapsed before.

This will keep happening and age of retirement will increase regardless if this one change does not affect pensioners. Some others will, like they have had. Pyramid schemes are not sustainable, and no amount of immigration will fix it specially not since Finland doesnt get a lot of immigrants.

Go own downvote me once again, and throw me goverment created factoids about how it all be fine, yet every time more news like this pop, every time I see it’s progressing exactly like I have been expecting, sadly.

I am ready, because I have never expected anything from the goverment ever but dissapointment; Finns trust goverment too much for their own good.
