As a result of terrorist Russian attacks in the capital in 2024, nearly 550 residential buildings were damaged, and 120 people were left homeless.

Throughout 2024, the terrorist state Russia launched nearly 200 air strikes on Kyiv. Russian forces used over 1300 drones and more than 200 cruise missiles for these attacks.
This was reported by Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhiy Popko, according to the press service of the Kyiv City Military Administration. Residents of the capital were urged not to ignore warnings about the danger.
“During 2024, Kyiv experienced 500 air alarms, during which the Russian Armed Forces carried out almost 200 airstrikes on the capital of Ukraine,” Popko said.
According to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, throughout the year, the aggressor country used over 1600 means of attack of various types against peaceful Kyiv:
More than 1300 UAVs;
Over 200 cruise missiles (Kh-101/Kh-59/Kh-69/Iskander- K/Kalibr);
24 ballistic missiles (Iskander-M/KN-23);
22 air-launched ballistic missiles “Kinzhal”;
7 hypersonic missiles “Tsirkon”.
“The most massive attack on Kyiv was a combined strike, during which the enemy used 78 means of attack simultaneously, including 49 Kh-101 missiles and 10 air-launched ballistic missiles “Kinzhal.” In total, in 2024, the capital endured 6 massive and 14 combined airstrikes,” Popko said.
The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration pointed out that, as a result of the terrorist Russian attacks in 2024, nearly 550 residential buildings in the capital were damaged, and almost 120 people were left without homes.
Due to attacks on energy infrastructure, Kyiv residents lived with emergency or stabilization power outages for about 100 days.
“At the same time, the average duration of power outages for an ordinary resident of the capital was approximately nine hours a day!” Popko concluded.
