  10. The gop has been sullying the christian label for a long time coming. Christian, to the majority of non christians, means “hateful mean nationalistic untolerant asshole”, and you have “”christian”” politicians and policies to thank for that. A fair number of christians actually act and think like decent people, and offer help instead of harm, but they are outnumbered by the mean assholes more and more each day. And when I can walk into any given church on a sunday and see/hear preachers talking about “how trump will offer hope and guidance to our nation” (yes I have watched three different pastors in three different churches all invoke trump as a savior) it renforces the connection. And now you see it as a form of policy with project 2025, leading with the elimination of abortion rights, shrinking ‘handouts’, and expanded police powers. How is any of that what Jesus wanted? Why is that the policy of a Christian political movement?

    Decouple your christianity from the gop and your image will improve dramatically.
