Afire has broken out at a Russian oil depot deep behind the front line in Kursk, according to the Kyiv Independent. The oil depot in Yartsevo in Russia’s Smolensk region caught on fire on December 31 after a drone attack overnight. The region is approximately 500 km from Kursk.

  2. Every day I wake up to something like this burning in Russia is a good day.

  3. A drone attack? Makes a change from someone smoking I suppose.

  4. That reminds me of the begging of the book red storm rising. Let’s hope russia don’t escalate the same way.

  5. Among Pro Russia people there’s a sickening sense of pride in the destruction of Ukraine, and the harm Ukrainians will suffer in the long term from a war-torn country, like mines being spread and the leftovers of usage of some types of ordinance. As a way of saying “you’re dumb to prevent genocide, look at the consequences you will suffer”.

Yet at the same time, they completely deny the reality of Russia’s consequences of this war – **for 3 years Russians have been breathing and eating high volumes of unburned hydrocarbon particles from these oil depots, and other chemicals from burned factories**, which arguably might be way worse and at a larger scale than Ukraine.

**These clouds of black smoke are being consumed by Russian children in their development stages, newborns, pregnant women, and everyone else, on a weekly basis. It’s going into their lungs, food, and water.**

Putin is the most incompetent leader Russia ever had, and he’s chipping away at Russians, daily with high casualties of young men, and in the long term with the amount of chemicals Russians are consuming.
