I don’t want to rain on her parade but I dare say it’s not the healthiest sign when a mother says she and her son are “like twins -except I’m a girl and he’s a boy.” (Which girl— that describes a lot of twins I hope you know they come in mixed genders haha). It’s a clear window into where she is she and how she views the dynamic of the relationship. Glad for her, a bit sad for her son because it’s clearly a situation where he will have to be the parent in some way to stay in her life. But so long as he is able to take from her only what she can give and accept the rest, it can work out. Poor Brit means well but it’s not hard to see she just can’t be that stable presense.
