  1. > O’Heir says he did not take the show’s constant Jerry jokes personally but told Pratt: “Just so you know, that meant the world to me. You checked in on me, [Amy Poehler] checked in on me, and it’s not like I expected everyone to check in on me, but the fact that you did was so special…You have the biggest heart, and I don’t mean it from a medical perspective.”

  2. I know people love to rip on Chris Pratt these days (with good reason), but it’s nice to know he and Amy reached out to Jim. I get they were talking to his character, but some of the stuff they said to “Jerry” would have been hard not to take personally.

  3. It also helped that even though “Jerry” was a whipping post character that was constantly belittled and picked on, he also had the best life away from work over anyone else. He was married to a supermodel and had a perfect family and homelife. Which I always loved about the character. He put up with it everything at work and everybody teasing him, because it was worth it to come home to his family at the end of the day.

  4. “I put my foot down against mean jokes!…. But flashing my colleague without their consent is goddam *hilarious* “

  5. It’s easy for workplace jokes to go too far or carry on outside of filming I’m sure. I’m glad he had Amy to check on him❤️

  6. I did find that the meaness against Jerry went too far and was out of character Lesley and Ron especially
and Chris. I really wanted them to find out about his penis. Actually Donna seeing him naked would have been pretty funny.

  7. lol at the deluded parasocial stalkers in here. Chris Pratt doesn’t love or want to know you.

  8. NGL I was rewatching an episode of Parks and Rec and the relentlessness berating of Jerry was alarming. It was not funny, it felt like punching down, and on reflection it’s kind of disgusting. Still a funny show but I don’t find Jerry jokes funny

  9. Uh pretty sure that’s the same show he got an HR violation for cuz he FLASHED his female costars

  10. Why do all the characters get a pass for cruely bullying Jerry from the fans but a very similar show like Brooklyn 99, with a similar fan base, typically detest Gina for exhibiting the same behaviors as the entire group does towards Jerry

  11. I always wonder what people see in this guy, hes not funny, basically plays himself every time.

  12. Good to know know the guy that exposed himself to Amy and Rashida drew the line at telling mean jokes about a fictional character

  13. I ran into Jim at a grocery store several years back in Kansas. He was in town doing a show, he was incredibly nice

  14. I binge watched blooper reels recently and saw where Jim o heir was having a full conversation when they were rolling. They had to stop the scene to tell him, he was embarrassed, but they were all laughing so genuine.

Friendships that turn into families are beautiful. They can also be brutal and filled with pranks, insults, and gaffs. But there’s never a doubt that they care for one another.
