  16. Some of the female hostages have been raped regularly. We already know this from some rescued hostages. And if more stories come out I think it will even hit Western media friendly towards Hamas. Most of the current stories have been ignored and many don’t even know about them unless they follow small news sites or Israel media.

    I don’t see how Hamas can afford to not control these sort of stories. They may make a deal about what the victims can talk about but at some point someone will reveal the truth. They may kill them and blame some Israel bombing raid.

  19. There’s a reason you don’t negotiate for hostages, it just incentivises more hostage taking. The only answer to this is taking them back with all necessary force or you risk more innocent people being taken.

  27. This was always going to be the case because there is no time limit to this conflict.

    Israel should have on 8/10 done a full blockade of Gaza. No food, no water, no medicine, no power, no fuel, nothing in and nothing out. Taken the border with Egypt. Destroy all the food and water in Gaza, destroy the farms, destroy the water storage and pump stations. Then wait 2 weeks for the populace to get hungry and desperate. Then offered food for hostages. Have the entire population of Gaza either starve to death or return the hostages. Hamas changed the game to taking hostages, it is only right for Israel to return the favor and turn all 2 million into hostages. Let all 2 million die or just return the hostages, their choice, and just let the clock run.

  30. Of course not. Hamas has exactly zero interest in ending this conflict. None whatsoever. This conflict may be killing thousands of their people … but Hamas doesn’t give two shits about their people or they wouldn’t have launched that huge terrorist attack in the first place, especially since Israel had already started loosening the border and Gazan prosperity was steadily rising. Or, you know, using their people are human shields by embedding themselves among them.

    At this point Gaza is paying a much higher price for their actions then Israel is. And with Trump in power the pressure will be on Hamas

  32. I want Israel to say that they will be clearing out and reclaiming one square mile of Gaza for every hostage that is not returned by X date.

    At this point I just want them to be the landgrabbers that everyone mythologizes them to be.
