How war will drive the cost of living crisis : Inflation could hit 8.2% in months as Ukraine invasion sends bills soaring by £700, petrol to 170p a litre and push up price of a bread loaf

This is the Daily Fail – peddling fear to boomers.
FEAR, YOU MUST FEEL FEAR
And now a word from our sponsors.
Can we like just have one cost of living crisis at s time please ? Like usually I’m all for a bit of chaos but this is taking the piss a little.
I hope the price of a “bread loaf” doesn’t go up too much.
Some of it being pure profiteering and not actual cost-push inflation
Bro, people are getting shot and blown up and you’re reporting about cost of living smh
Panic buy Toilet paper? or can we leave that in the supermarket for when needed?

Think lidi is selling paper with Peppa Pig on it, fuck knows why, I’ll buy if I must.
According to virgin mobile its already hit near 12%, atleast that’s what the letter they sent me said.
Honestly, things are shit. But winding people up about petrol prices while the poor bastards in the Ukraine are dying is fucked up. Oh boo hoo petrol might be a few p more expensive. I’d rather be me right now that getting beaten by Russian soldiers
I read the BoE are predicting interest rates to hit 2% before the end of year and could rise rapidly from that if inflation does not start to decline, QE is no longer a viable option on the table, I think income tax and maybe NI will also rise as the cost of the pandemic will need to be paid back which won’t be cheap.
Grim times ahead.
