Princess Eugenie has become increasingly active on her social media accounts, with the royal sharing some rare insights into her family life alongside some touching photos of her young children. Most recently, she posted a snap of herself carrying her two sons during a day out at the beach.

August, the eldest son of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, was born on 9 February 2021 and is thirteenth in line to the throne. Meanwhile her second son, Ernest, was born on 30 May 2023. The Duke of York’s daughter often delights royal fans by posting relatable images of her family on Instagram, but has rarely shared photographs with her two boys together publicly.

Whilst it’s not known where the photograph was taken, Princess Eugenie and Jack currently split their time between Britain and Portugal. Sources recently told how Eugenie is determined to relocate with their family permanently back to Britain, with insiders revealing to the Express, ‘Eugenie is adamant that she wants to head back to the UK on a more permanent basis and use the villa in Portugal as a holiday home.’

Indeed, as King Charles and the Princess of Wales continue to recover from their cancer treatments, many royal watchers have wondered whether we might see an increased presence from Princess Eugenie and her sister Beatrice. Earlier this year, Richard Eden argued that ‘It’s time to see more of the younger royals as the older generation struggles to hold the Monarchy together in tough circumstances.’ After the ‘slimmed down’ royal family felt the shockwaves of two senior members’ cancer diagnoses, Eden suggested that the likes of Prince Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, Lady Louise Windsor, and James, Earl of Wessex ‘could play a vital role in the future, supporting their cousin Prince William when he eventually succeeds to the throne.’
