  1. I have no issues with people getting work done, but modern beauty standards are so fucked that I can’t understand how they think that work looks good. It’s extra fucked up once you realize how these specific beauty standards became so popular.

  4. Idg the snarky comments. It’s not like she’s said she does one thing and it’s clearly another like other celebs. She just doesn’t comment on her diet/weight loss/gain in that way and mostly never has.

No celebrity is going to be like “yeah, so I was a heavy drinker for a while, and my weight went up and down for ages and I realized I had a problem with my body image too, so I started fixing all my botched plastic surgery, lost weight, and I finally learned that less is more, so I got rid of my hyaluronic acid fillers and had a mini face lift to fix the droopy skin around my jaw and forehead.”

    That’s literally what Christina and Lindsay did. They fixed bad plastic surgery, got rid of the fillers, and got a mini face lift. I think Lindsay got a new nose job too and she lost some weight. That’s all. People shouldn’t even see them as role models for body image. They have money to get all these surgeries. Studios and labels sometimes pay for it. You don’t have that, so don’t sweat it, don’t compare yourself, don’t obsess over it. It’s money. Money fixes everything. Fillers are no longer cool because people learned that they migrate to other parts of your face and they give you pillow face.

  16. I think she looks great and i though I am not a fan of. cosmetic surgery I love the journey she is on and I resonate with much of what he has said regarding beauty standards and the journey towards self-acceptance.

  26. I will never forget the MTV special where she literally bragged about eating all the KFC she wanted to and not gain any weight. Then she came out with the Dirty album and she was fat. All I could think back then was “KARMA…..”.
