Many, many years ago I saw Dougie live at a wee venue in Newcastle where a bunch of Scottish exiles sang along. I was a Student at Newcastle Uni and had a couple of beers with him after the gig and he signed my copy of Craigie Dhu.
Many, many years later I sang it with friends at a wake in NZ.
Caledonia will always have a special place in my heart.
