Corbyn ignores Labour whip’s call to remove name from Stop The War NATO statement

  1. For reference [this](https://www.stopwar.org.uk/article/stop-the-war-statement-on-ukraine-24-02-22/) is ‘Stop the War’ coalition’s latest statement.

One paragraph about ‘Movement of Russian troops’ into Ukraine followed by several paragraphs blaming ‘US and NATO hegemony’, the UK’s ‘provocations’ etc etc.

This is Corbyn’s legacy. His fanboys claim he has consistently been ‘on the right side of history’ when a cursory glance at the evidence shows the opposite to be true. He and the organisations associated with him, considered to be the heart and soul of the British Left, have almost always supported regimes, groups and individuals known to be right-wing, fascist, bigoted etc. just because they share Corbyn’s hate for the Western world.

  2. I really hope that those who fell for StW’s tankie bullshit over the past few decades are currently having a serious word with themselves.

  3. He’s doesn’t have to retract his statement, he’s no longer in Labour, but the other 10 disgraceful Labour MPs should be thrown from the party if they refuse to retract their support following that statement.

    Not just suspended.

  4. Considering the whip was removed I don’t think it requires a genius to figure out why he might be ignoring it.

But I’d never want to insist Jewish News of acting in bad faith.

  5. Good on him. Clearly a man with integrity, unlike the 11 cowardly MPs who caved in and withdrew their signatures. Tony Benn would be proud of him.

  6. Ultra right wing propoganda machine. Furthering the cause of Apartheid Israel. They hate Corbyn even now they fear him
