  1. New Year’s Day means tiara events for both Japan and Denmark.

In Denmark, we have both the King and Queen, Joachim and Marie, the Crown Prince, Margrethe and Benedikte.  In Japan we have both the Emperor and Empress, the Crown Prince and Princess, as well as Princess Aiko and Princess Kako.

  2. Is she related to Kate Middleton? I really think they resemble one another.

  3. Are there better photos of the tiara (?) that Margrethe is wearing? It looks amazing.

  4. Much fewer Japanese princesses than normal this year as the family of Princess Yuriko of Mikasa didn’t attend due to her passing away recently. Nonetheless, everyone looks very elegant and essentially the same from year to year!

Princess Benedikte looks almost fairytale-like – definitely my style winner from Denmark!

Prince Christian also looks like he’s found a haircut that suits him much better.

  5. When will Prince Hisahito begin appearing at state dinners or more formal occasions?
