The Ministry clarifies that initial reports indicating the involvement of four Malaysians in the accident resulted from a misunderstanding. The two other Malaysian nationals mentioned in earlier reports, who were staying at the same hotel, were not part of the bus incident.

The embassy confirms that its staff in Stockholm successfully contacted the two Malaysian nationals directly involved in the accident. Both individuals sustained minor injuries and Norwegian authorities classified them as “non-injury” cases. Thankfully, they remain in good health and have since resumed their journey in Norway without further complications.

In light of this incident, the Government of Malaysia and the Ministry express their deepest gratitude to the local authorities in Norway for their quick and invaluable assistance to the Malaysian nationals involved. The swift action and support received from Norwegian officials genuinely earn sincere appreciation.
