‘It is time to take personal responsibility’ insists man as he abandons two wives and an unknown number of children.
And to some, he is the best man to represent them.
Don’t forget “got his decorating paid for” and “didn’t realise he was at a party” lmao
I want to know how someone infected with covid who has to go to work is going to take personal responsibility not to infect anyone else.
There were quite a few commentators on this subreddit who insisted that a person’s private life had absolutely no bearing on whether they would be good for the country as a politician. Who could have known that being such a revolting person in private would have any bearing on how Boris behaves in public?
“Irresponsible bumbling buffoon acts like an irresponsible bumbling buffoon” – north of England shocked
If we are talking personal responsibility perhaps pensioners should be paying for their own social care instead of taxing the young
How do you know his exes didn’t ‘abandon’/dump his arse?

Didn’t they have to barricade him in his office when he had covid to stop him breathing on people?
Who’s the bigger clown? Johnson, or the people who believed him and voted for his lies? No wonder democracy is in decline.
I bet his twenty something kids will be lining up to see this…
Newsthump branching out into actual reporting now? It’s all getting a bit blurry
Some people will still love him because they think he tells it like it is (even though he is a pathological liar) and a man of the people (even though he went to Eton and Oxford). He will still have public support because they seem to want to be governed by someone who has a posh accent.
Personal responsibility is undermined by employers who hold sickness policies over the heads of their workers like a sword.
We have an absolutely disgusting attitude towards sickness in this country and we have already seen that, even when bodies are literally overflowing morgues, that many employers simply do not give a shit.
Covid will now be no different. People shouldn’t be around others when they have things like the flu or stomach bugs, but employers never see it this way; anyone who has ever worked in an office knows how quickly things spread and the lack of shits given by management.
Tories in general are all about not taking responsibility so he is in good company. Old and wealthy? – We’ll rig the system so the young pay more tax/pay more rent to look after you and your money. Think you are responsible for something? – We’ll convince you it’s the fault of a trading bloc we’re a member of – or the young, or foreigners, or people in dinghies – it doesn’t really matter who does it so long as it’s not you? See parties happening in contradiction of lockdown laws – please shop your neighbours, but if we do it we’re so chummy with the Police they just send us a questionnaire (lol!). Oh and if you’re poor you can have brutal capitalism – sorry about that, should have been born wealthy.
This is one reason I won’t trust a thing he says anymore (not that you could ever really take him seriously).
He was fine when he was the bumbling idiot mayor of London. Then he got actual power and all he’s done is fill his pockets, have his own rules, and screw over everyone else. You see how terrible of a person he really is.
This is a man who went to hospital and shook covid patients hands, went in maskless, broke multiple rules he set, partied while people were isolated alone and loved ones were dying alone, and a whole list of other stuff.
It’s also why I’m going to ignore what he says – and I’m going to keep wearing a mask and testing fairly regularly (stocking up on free tests while I can). I’m as fed up of restrictions as anyone else – but covid isn’t over (if it was restrictions would be lifted globally all together – which they aren’t. Some still have closed borders). I’d like to make sure my at risk family members don’t get sick.
Ah yes, the old personal responsibility mantra. A calling card for those in politics that want to eschew their own lack of social responsibility.
*”Forsooth, not only is he a twice divorced man, he hast begotten children out of wedlock. What depravity is this that such a man can be elected in our most noble and pious kingdom. I tell ye, after this all kinds of heresy will surely follow, from the election of apostates to the imperilment of the sacred duty and expectation that our representatives keep regular attendance at confession!”*
On reflection, I don’t think campaigns against divorcees being elected really work in 2022.
