Switzerland is attractive. The number of people who live here is increasing. We can hardly build more without massively fucking up the territory and transportation is already very full.
What exactly do people propose? That literally anyone who wants should be able to live here at a reasonable cost? Or do we make it harder to come here? Or do we just make the entire country filled with concrete buildings and cars?
And if there are not enough apartments available, who will build them if it isn’t profitable?
I have so many questions.
If housing prices increase several times more than the population growth rate, it should mean either the population is getting wealthier rapidly or speculation is booming. It’s simplified but it should be close to that.
It’s a stupid scam that makes working people poorer and the overall county too. Housing does not create much value once it’s built, besides allowing people to live (if they can afford the rent).
