hey what is this? i bought it in portugal, cooked it and will eat it. google says it’s a beret but i’m not sure

  1. Its call Maranho. Rice with ham and gout inside. Field in the gout stomach.
    It’s typical from Beira Baixa region of Portugal.
    In the past was served just in marriages. Now you can find in Lidl..

    Anyway, it’s called Maranho. Don’t think there’s an English word for it.

  3. It looks like a football from the 1800’s. Some of my countrymen have already explained what it is, but I’ve never seen anything like this in my life

  4. Its Maranho, typical from Sertã. Its probably pre cooked if you bought it in a shopping center. Boil it for an hour just in case it isnt though
