UK becomes first European nation to join CPTPP trading bloc • FRANCE 24 English
The UK has officially become a member of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), joining 11 existing members including Australia, Japan and Canada. The CPTPP rose from the ashes of the TPP, which was signed in 2016 but was never ratified after Donald Trump pulled the US out of the deal. Plus, France has a new government but still no budget. MPs are set to start debate on an emergency spending bill.

UK trade with the EU is up 40% since Brexit plus we can now trade at will with the rest of the World. We also have our sovereign peoples elected parliament back instead of an appointed EU president. I am happy for the EU, i want you all to stay locked together for as long as possible, leaving the UK to be nimble, flexible and reactive in a difficult World. 😊😊😊

Drop in the ocean to what EU membership gave us, and will give us when we rejoin.
Why on earth did the UK ever even contemplate leaving the EU when we now have to join another trading block that will increase global emissions and keep us from the EU in the future. Is it worthwhile for 2 billion. Smells of money for the rich guys. The EU are our neighbours and they are who we should be trading with.

The Brits didn’t like being in a European trading bloc where they were the 2nd most powerful partner (after Germany). So they join another trading bloc on the other side of the planet.

The eu would not give us a deal like Norway because they wanted to punish the uk. A bit more common sense on both sides would have worked for both sides.
EU sucks though! They will impose their stupid values on countries and blackmailing them. Countries specially in Asia should stop trading to EU.
It will take the UK 75000 years to make up for its losses from Brexit.
