Croatia’s tourism sector marked an impressive milestone in 2024 with a 4% surge in tourist arrivals, reaching over 21.3 million, and a 1% increase in overnight stays, totaling 108.7 million as reported by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

The Adriatic coast remained the top destination, contributing a substantial 103.3 million overnight stays. However, Croatia’s inland regions also experienced growth, with Zagreb leading at a 6% increase to 2.7 million overnight stays.

Tourism and Sports Minister Tonči Glavina noted the significant uptick during the pre-season and post-season, affirming Croatia’s status as a year-round destination. The Croatian central bank revealed a 1.7% rise in tourist revenues, amounting to 13.2 billion euros in the first nine months of 2024.
