I’ve worked in three different petrol stations over the years. Circle K will be the first to price gouge. Their business model makes Amazon look kind.
Circle K are the absolute worst in the country and always the first to raise the price and the highest around because their fuel is “better”

I went by this petrol station at 3pm on my way to work yesterday and noticed it was one of the only places I’d seen under €2 for petrol. Coming home later that night (after the announcement in the news) the prices had been jacked up to what you see here.
No way! I filled up today in Cavan for 1.92. Most places around here are still like that.
I really don’t understand the whole .9 thing. I’ve never seen it not being .9. I know it’s some kind of marketing psychological trick to make you think it’s a cent cheaper than actually is, but we are all wise to that so they might as well just stop doing it.

I’m from Bray. That garage has always had a bit of a reputation for price gouging, so I’m not surprised. Annoyed, but not surprised.
