    Also with Titanic Studios soon to be demolished and new stages just built at Harbour Studios with further plans to expand that I’m sure they’re close enroaching onto the surrounding land.

  3. Apparently Gavin Robinson is building that with his bare hands, previous works include the giants causeway and Lough Neagh/the isle of man, can’t wait to see what he comes up with on this. 

  4. Had high hopes for this when I first read about it….about 10 years ago. Seems that land is destined to lie there unused a couple more decades yet, maybe my grandchildren will get to play there.

    I dont see why they can’t at least just open it for walking as it looks like it would a nice enough spot and a nice change from climbing Cavehill. Asked about it before here and people were saying they’d often walk the dogs there but it seems security has become more zealous recently.

  5. Wondering if it’s a concern about potential increase in odour complaints if they open that area to the public for recreational use, given how often there’s a strong stench on the M2 Foreshore between Greencastle and Fortwilliam

  10. Former landfill site filled with all manner of nasty shit. Apparently the smell was the first thing that used to greet you coming down the hill past the Bellevue

    Would be a complicated project to reclaim the land properly but then again Titanic Quarter was a wasteland and it turned out amazing
