Plans are underway for the former Debenhams building in Station Road, Harrow, to become an Iceland supermarket.
Debenhams closed in May 2021 and was replaced by The Landmark, which operated for just over a year in Harrow Town Centre. Following its closure, the site became home to Homeland, which moved from St George’s Shopping Centre.

The building, constructed in 1961, has been a significant part of the town centre, with residents questioning what would eventually take over the space.
Iceland previously operated further up the road at 368 Station Road, near Trinity Bar, until its closure on 6 May 2023. At the time, an Iceland spokesperson said, “The Station Road, Harrow Store is scheduled to close on 6th May, ahead of its lease expiring.” The former Iceland site has since been converted into a banqueting hall.

An Iceland spokesperson told Harrow Online: “We can confirm that Iceland is currently in the planning application process for a property located at 275 Station Road, Harrow.”
