Edit: Chelsea FC has been seized from Mr Abramovich as part of the freeze on his assets and the sale of the club is now on hold.
About time. Didn’t Putin make him Governor of the region his mining company operates in Russia. He seems to be very close to Putin.
So what’s the catch? This is just the announcement that sanctions are coming but won’t take effect for 30 days?
I am genuinely surprised that Oleg Deripaska and Igor Sechin weren’t covered by existing sanctions. Or is the article wording on them just being confusing?
Really can’t fathom how the UK government sanctioned the sell of Newcastle to the Saudi consortium. The same Saudi Arabia that continues to cluster bomb the fuck out of Yemen with arms/jets supplied by the same UK government. As long as it fits their agenda though. The hypocrisy of this government makes me want to vomit.

Even the crimes in Northern Ireland have still not been cleared up in regards to Bloody Sunday.

The corrupt UK government has decided it doesn’t want any of the proceeds of the sale of Chelsea football club going to Ukraine and has instead decided to seize it all.
