The UK is the global leader on needing to learn from other nations.
We are the single largest donor to Ukraine except the United States, we trained the army into a professional one since 2014 (a friend of mine was there). We also are a big reason for Ukraine having solid intelligence.
Ireland taking 2000 refugees is tiny compared to the 2 million (0.01%) and they certainly are nowhere close in terms of military aid etc which the U.K. provided like 400m vs like 5.
The Ukraine are still in the fight because of the U.K….but please tell me how Ireland taking a tiny token number (0.01%) of refugees is super noble and helping Ukraine stay independent 😅
Ireland can’t even defend itself from Russia . The RAF protect their skies as they don’t have fighter jets. They did send a military plane to Ukraine recently but it wasn’t to help it was to collect some surrogate babies. The Irish government are keeping up their tradition of taking babies from impoverished mothers.
But won’t just look at them they clearly won’t do fuck all unless they get something out of it
