Circle K increasing prices by 15c, just as the government announce the price cut

  1. 2 Circle Ks in my town. Early this morning one was at 1.95, at 13:00 I saw it was at 2.15. The other Circle K is currently at 1.95. The first one is definitely gouging.

  2. This was 100% predictable and goes to show that the narrative that the public was asking for was dumb. The only response we should have been asking for is a price cap. Oh we lose on tax revenue too as well. Great.

  3. More than likely got a fuel delivery this morning at an awful price, price will be down significantly tomorrow falling in line with other stores, the owner will lose out on a couple of grand. Family member runs a Texaco store, had to put off todays order until tomorrow else they’d be in a similar position.

Prices from Valero supplier were well over 2 quid this morning.

  4. And staff in the station are sick and tired of hearing moaning about it every time you buy it keep the moaning to yourself in the shop thank you every petrol station employee

  5. I work nights, on my way to work at 9pm the petrol station facing glasnevin cemetery, unleaded petrol was 2.08, coming home at 5am it was 2.12.
It went up instead of down.

  6. Does anyone think the government was a bit short sighted by having a fixed € cut rather than a % decrease in the taxes applied to fuel? A % would have a better and fairer effect across the whole fluctuation of price rather than just a single step change (that was eaten up right away)

  7. Same happens in other sectors. €600 Govt grant for home car chargers => electricians add spurious €600 cost of installing a car charger. Inevitable.

  8. Bought it in a circle k this morning for 1.84, that was the second I passed heading into work with that price.
