The Moldovan broadcaster TRM has announced the dates for the live auditions and live final of Etapa Națională 2025.
With a document published on their website, the TRM has announced the dates for the live auditions and live final of Etapa Națională 2025, the selection method adopted by the Moldovan broadcaster to choose a representative for Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.
The document shows that the live auditions stage is set to take place on January 18 in TRM’s studio no. 2. The song submission window has closed on December 27, and the participants in this stage will be determined once all the songs have been reviewed.
After the live auditions, a jury will select ten acts that will proceed to the live final stage, scheduled on February 22. In the final of Selecția Națională 2025, the winner will be determined by 50% televoting and 50% jury voting.
Natalia Barbu performed “In The Middle” in Semi-Final One of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Moldova placed 13th in the Semi-Final scoring 20 points.

Moldova debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 when the contest was held in Kyiv, Ukraine. Moldova’s best result in the contest is 3rd place in 2017 for Sunstroke Project with “Hey Mamma!”. This was the second time the group had represented their country in Eurovision. Moldova has been represented by several artists who have competed in the contest before, with five acts having represented Moldova a combined eleven times.
