7. Turning off the gas will cause tensions to rise between Transnistria and Moldova. Russia will say Ukraines move to shutter the gas is on purpose to hurt the pro Russian region of Transnistria. Transnistria will call on Russia for aide and its Donbass all over again in a non NATO country with a Russian separtist region. This is all by design, and whether Moldova gets gas or not, Transnistria will be squeezed by Ukraine and Moldova regardless. I doubt Russia stands by and lets a region they can easily annex in a non NATO country be reclaimed by the West.
