  1. Now I’m worried about the author of heaven officials blessing

  2. Pooh Bear is so small that he’s threatened by dirty messages posted on another country’s website by people he doesn’t even know.

  3. How does China justify its anti-gay stance? They’re officially atheists, so it can’t be on religious grounds. Is being gay somehow capitalist?

  4. The crackdown was not specifically anti-gay. More than 50 authors of sexual content were detained/sentenced, 10 of them were writing homosexual content.

  5. This sucks but the title is misleading. The crackdown is on pornography/erotica not gays

  6. With their overpopulation you think they’d be dressing their gov’t officials in pink to encourage it

  7. China also tried switching traffic lights so red was go.

Nationalism leads to some dumb places.

  8. “How the writers are sentenced under Chinese law depends on how much money they make. Those who earn more than 250,000 yuan (US$34,500) from selling erotic materials can face a maximum sentence of life in prison.”

I cannot comprehend caring so much about this. Like, they have such a panic over victimless, harmless media because of this obsession with policing the morality of their citizens.

Makes the war on drugs in the USA look positively sane by comparison. At least drugs can harm the people taking them.

  9. Knew a girl doing yaoi from China, hope she’s okay.

  10. Why can no chinese citizens say anything whatsoever? Isn’t there enough people who want to be free, enough at this point to make a change? Are they afraid? Why is there no anger from mainland China’s people. I live in another country that is 90% asian…. Why is there no anger at their old homeland?

  11. I always find it odd how China, and many other anti-porn, countries, have illegal prostitution all over the place.
