HER&NU reports that Tim Schou who represented Denmark at Eurovision 2011 will be competing in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025.

Fourteen years on from representing Denmark in Dusseldorf, Tim Schou is reported to be competing in the Danish selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. HER&NU reports the frontman of A Friend in London to be among the eight artists to compete to represent Denmark in Basel this May.

A Friend in London performed “New Tomorrow” at Eurovision 2011 qualifying for the final and finishing 5th overall. The group scored 134 points overall and was 3rd with the juries but 18th with the public. The result remains Denmark’s second best placement since 2001.

DR has not commented on the report, all of the artists and the songs will be revealed at a press conference on February 6. Erik Struve Hansen, DR’s manager for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix previously told media that, DR has already selected all eight artists and songs, and these include a song in Danish, a former Danish Eurovision representative, and a song described as “the biggest ballad”.

The final of Melodi Grand Prix 2025 takes place in the Jyske Bank Boxen in Horsens on March 1. The winning song will represent Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel.

Saba represented Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with “Sand”. She finished 12th in the second semi-final with 12 points, leaving Denmark out of the final for the fourth year in a row.

Denmark debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 alongside Austria and the United Kingdom. To date Denmark has won the contest on three occasions, the first being in 1963 when Grethe & Jorgen Ingmann performed “Dansevise”. Denmark won the contest again in 2000 represented by the Olsen Brothers. Their most recent victory came in 2013 when Emmelie de Forest performed “Only Teardrops”. Denmark has not been in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest since 2019.
