  1. This remarkable find speaks to the deep history and heritage of Scotland. The Picts were here long before any foreign power set foot on our land. What a victory for the Scottish people! Ordinary volunteers, not state institutions, are uncovering and preserving the stories of our ancestors. We should all be incredibly proud of this discovery. The spirit of our ancestors lives on in the hearts of Scots today.

Let’s take a moment to think about what this discovery really means. It’s just one of many pieces of evidence that Scotland has a rich and independent history, long before Westminster had anything to do with us. These were OUR people, living by their own rules, on their own terms.

This is OUR legacy. Why are we letting an out-of-touch government in London dictate what happens to OUR history? Why should Scottish history be confined to the margins of the UK’s national story? It’s clear as day that Scotland’s history doesn’t belong to Britain.

  2. Put them back please, could do without curses on the land this year xx

  3. Incredible dig every year, and right in my back garden! Highly recommend anyone with an interest in archaeology sign up for volunteer projects like this, it’s a great chance to develop new skills and meet wonderful people.

  4. I wonder if there is demand for a Scottish Indiana Jones. I’m unemployed rn and considering all options
