To be fair though, he was in a cyberstuck, and doing I-70 W over the continental divide, probably wouldn’t have worked.
Only 325 miles, this won’t take long.
4-hours later – WTF?
Other EV companies should use this to taunt Elon about the lack of efficiency of the Cybertruck.
Hah, always verify your GPS got the right state.
That’s about 1000 miles. Should have gotten there only stopping 2x If leaving with a full charge.
LOL. Once stopped and tent camped in Las Vegas, New Mexico. I still, to this day, have never seen a deluge of rain quite like that.
It’s like a 1000 mile ride? You’d have to fill the gas tank of your average car like at least 3 times in that distance. And I’m saying this as an Elon hater but this is honestly better than I expected from that joke of a vehicle.
I’m not defending a terrorist, but his route had purpose. He told the owner of the truck that he was traveling down in that direction, so that is the direction he traveled. Since these trucks can be easily tracked, and the owner would probably track him because it’s a personal rental, the terrorist traveled where he said he would and then made his way to the real Las Vegas.
everyone’s got that 250 mile detour
The first time I made this drive I was so confused. Vegas is only 350 miles?
I was born in Las Vegas, NM. I’m surprised they had a EV charger in that small town.
Filling up 3 times per state is wild. Nothing was suspicious? The truck was normal? No one looked at the vehicle?
To be fair, on road trips I like to stop often to piss out my last coffee and get a new one. Probably would be more so inclined if the plan was to shoot myself at the destination.
For a Special Forces soldier he sure sucks at Land Nav.
Top up in Less Vegas!
Amazing what people will do to avoid Utah.
No wonder he was so pissed off.
Remember kids a Ford escape is how you’ll escape
It’s sad really. We lose 22 a day to suicide. He went to the CA for help but they let him go instead of admitting him. It’s just sad.
He probably started off as a happy person heading out to the desert to shoot off some fireworks, by the fifth recharge, he was penning a manifesto.
Maybe the interstates were the only roads that reliably have chargers?
That added 3.5 hours to his trip.
Typical stupid MAGA, can barely find his way out of a paper bag and couldn’t even break a window in Trump tower despite packing his Cyberjunk with explosives.
Were there other routes? How oblivious do you have to be to not realize you’re going in the wrong direction for hundreds of miles?

Now that’s commitment
