  4. As the boomers age out, the cost of in-home care or senior living center is enough to crush most boomer retirements. That’s where much of the wealth transfer is going. There was a proposal during the election to extend Medicare benefits to cover in-home care, which would have been huge for this boomer population.

  5. Boo hoo cry me a river lmao. If a boomer isn’t set for retirement after living and earning during the easiest and most prosperous time in all of human civilization, I feel NO sympathy.

    Pull yourself up by your bootstraps gramps, have you tried going in and handing the manager your resume?

  8. My dad is Gen X and he’s already has the “fuck you I got mine” mentality. So what if everyone else is struggling.

  9. I recognize how precarious my retirement is. I own my home, and have a some savings, but I also have some chance of outliving it. So I live a frugal life. Hope for the best and dread the possibilities of the future.

  10. I will be forever sad that the election wasn’t about housing, health care, education and retirement only. That should have been the whole campaign.

Most of them didn’t sell their properties and downgrade to smaller homes when they had a chance pre Covid and now they can’t move to smaller homes because they cost as much as their current home. TBH, they kinda screwed future generations by staying in their larger homes and creating a housing inventory shortage. Not much sympathies to give to them.
