Farage’s response:
> This is a surprise!
> Elon [Musk] is a remarkable individual but on this I am afraid I disagree. My view remains that Tommy Robinson is not right for Reform.
• Elon Musk has [seemingly](https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1875934421507039302) endorsed Rupert Lowe for next Reform leader, as pressure on Farage intensifies
• December study found that Lowe’s voting record makes him ‘the most right-wing MP’ in Westminster — even more so than Farage — with a score of 96/100
Musk-Rat needs taking down a peg or two. Just because he bought United States of America don’t mean he gets to tell other countries what to do.
Musk really doesn’t have his finger on the British societal pulse. Yes people want to see affirmative change that isn’t just platitudes & empty promises form career politicians but 90% of those who would vote for Farage would not touch Robinson with a barge pole.
This isn’t America, people aren’t as easily duped into believing nonsensical BS.
Musk is probably pissed because Farage didn’t order the king to suspend parliament and call new elections.
Musk might be running the US at the moment, but he has no understanding or any regard for how democracy works in the rest of the world.
Farage might be a nasty little troublemaker, but he’s our nasty little troublemaker and the muskrat should bugger off.
The GB News viewers are having a meltdown over this and TR, and suddenly Farage is being likened to Starmer.
I do wonder how this will pan out.
Isn’t Farage getting a salary for representing the people of Clacton? He’s not in power, or Foreign Secretary. Talk about ideas above his station!
What I love is how Farage has to remain grovelling and unoffended by Musk’s comments as he still needs his support whereas Farage is of no importance to Musk so he can trash him.
These cretins deserve each other.
Musk is doing a great job of uniting the UK, every side has the same low opinion of him.
If Farage leaves Reform they will collapse just like UKIP.
I can see him going back to the conservatives and having a leadership challenge in 2 years
You’d have thought Musk has more important things to be getting on with.
Crazy how he tanked the most popular social media app, alongside running other companies and still has time to be as chronically online as he is.
The first cunt-off of they year is underway, love to see it.
Oh look, Tweedledee and Tweedledumbass are quarrelling
Trump is not even in charge and this is already extremely entertaining
I’m no fan of Farage or many others in British politics but I’d be all for it if they put on a united front against Musk and his interferring, won’t get my hopes up though!
Musk is a thin skinned man baby who isn’t half as smart as he thinks he is
I wonder if reform will turn into infighting, and basically damage them selves now.
We all saw Farage flapping when the riots kicked off, desperate to remove himself from any blame when #farageriots was trending. Elon isn’t wrong and thats the worrying thing. My concern is if Reform really does become the opposition, Farage wouldn’t be able to fend off being ousted by someone wanting to take the party further to the right.
Hopefully a prelude to the inevitable Musk / Trump falling-out. The fact these sociopaths end up turning on each other is the only positive aspect to their existence.
It’s hard to back either of them in this. On one side, you’ve got Farage, a professional wind-up merchant who thrives on stirring the pot, and on the other, Musk, a billionaire chaos-maker who can’t resist sticking his oar in. It’s like watching two egos clash for no reason other than their own self-importance.
They’re both arseholes, just in slightly different flavours.
This just gives Farage a credibility boost, which is great for him and Musk.
I don’t agree with Elon on most/anything things he posts, but this, this I agree with, Farage shouldn’t be allowed to lead a conga line let along a political party.
I don’t fucking care about Farage or that fucking fat man baby Musk. Stop giving them coverage.
This is starting to come across as an attempt to raise Farage’s profile. Outrage-bait is standard news for Farage, Musk, Trump, Johnson, etc. What does it cost for Elon to toss out a tweet to create a passive sentiment to listen to whatever Farage has to say (which invariably includes some vague, divisive commentary). I may be wrong, but I’m not convinced Elon is genuinely trying to shake up a party that isn’t yet in the position to directly influence policy. That said, this sort of news seems to signal how Reform (and Farage) will become normalised in UK news and politics).
It would be hilarious if Farage finds himself ousted from his own party *again* just as he becomes an MP
Putting on my tin foil flat cap here but I reckon the is a publicity stunt by Reform, Musk comes barking about Farage’s removal, UK gets upset that Musk is getting involved, Farage comes out dismissing this, UK is happy because someone is finally stepping up to Musk and gains for favour and more votes.
But’s that’s just my opinion, of course.
This shitshow would be funny if it wasn’t the extremely sad reflection of how dumb is the current political discourse in the whole West
(Silver lining: the West still has a political discourse…)
Didn’t take long for the tiger to bite his face off.
Daily Mail readers backing farage looking at their comment section. Looks like musk has fucked it.
Why are all the news news channels devoting so much to a marginal political party?
We here more about reform that the libs or the greens or the tories.
