    Frankly Germany should learn from it’s failed neo-liberal experiment with keeping Russia “engaged” through trade relationships, and should pivot away from China ASAP. Fuck those companies which didn’t learn the first time, and overly concentrated with business expansions in an autocracy without an independent legal system.

36. The usual tankie bullshit, nothing new. Anne Applebaum and her book about international autocracy comes to mind. Those people don’t care wether a party/government/ruler declares itself to be socialist (Venezuela), theocratic fasicst (Iran) or whatever unholy crap Putin claims to be, they are ONLY unified by their shared hatred for democracy and self-determination, which is why I suspect that they’ll get along, to a degree at least, with president Musk and his orange goblin VP. All they want is to destabilize Europe.

    If Europe doesn’t want to be squashed by foreign influence from the likes of Musk, Putin and their fascist allies (Le Pen, Wilders, Farage and all the others) we really need to get our shit together.

46. In a proper Marxist context, China’s CCP would be condemning Putin hard for being a counterrevolutionary Bonapartist fascist.

    Frankly, China also has much more to fear from Russia than Germany.

    If Russia is militarily weak, Germany is a non existent non threat. China should be more concerned about the revanchist thugs in Russia and North Korea next door.
