Who also likes ice skating on frozen lakes or perhaps ice fishing?
I think it’s a wonderful place to practice skating because it’s an open place, engulfed with nature, not crowded, and completely free. I just want to mention that the most important part of this is your initial assessment to know if it is ready for ice skating and to take some first aid and gear to rescue from any incident. I never had any issues with this. I think this is a very Finnish thing to do 🙂

I’m not a pro ice fisher, but i’m pretty sure that’s not how you should be doing it.
the weird melt period in december will be good for the ice, not too much snow on top of the ice to prevent solid freezing.
