  2. Didn’t really like how Zelenskyy just provides an emotional retort. As a diplomat, “compromise” obviously does not mean to “forgive”, and he knows that. A “compromise” ended the Korean War. Did both sides “forgive”? A “compromise” ended WW1. Did both sides “forgive”? Obviously no to both. Perhaps it’s due to how WW2 ended, but people seem to be under the notion that wars must end with the total destruction of one side. That is actually rarely the case. Ukraine can reach a compromise with Russia without forgiving them for their crimes. That process takes sometimes several lifetimes, but can only start after peace.

  6. Russia isn’t asking for forgiveness tho. Only a loser in a war will ask for forgiveness and as far as Russia is concerned they will win.
