Congratulations on your new position as CEO of VP Bank (Luxembourg) SA. What does the new role mean to you personally and what are your goals?
Alexander Ziehl: “Thank you very much for your congratulations! This new role is a great honour and responsibility for me. For me personally, it represents the culmination of many years of experience and growth in the banking industry, and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the success story of VP Bank Luxembourg.
It is my goal and my personal ambition, together with the newly appointed Executive Board, to lead VP Bank Luxembourg very successfully, to expand it in a targeted manner and to make VP Bank Luxembourg THE client-focused bank by optimising processes and implementing innovative ideas and solutions. My goal is to make VP Bank Luxembourg(even more) attractive for clients and business partners. Furthermore, it is my wish to be seen from current employees as a valuable employer and be an employer of choice for young talents.”

What makes you a proud VP Banker?
Alexander Ziehl: “What makes me proud to be a banker at VP Bank is the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to individuals and companies. Banking is not just about numbers, it’s about trust and relationships, and actively helping clients achieve their financial goals. In addition, being part of an Group that is evolving – especially with innovations in digital banking and financial services – means I am constantly learning and adapting to better serve our demanding clientele.”
Lastly, we would also like to get to know you personally: what do you like to do in your spare time and how do you find a balance between work and private life?
Alexander Ziehl: “In my free time, besides spending time with my family and dog I am a passionate football fan and enthusiastic runner. This year I was proud to take part in the charity run of “Kriibskrank Kanner Luxembourg” – and I will certainly continue to do so with the whole team of VP Bank Luxembourg and VP Fund Solutions Luxembourg. Participating for the first time this year, the entire team raised over EUR 15,000 for the fight against childhood cancer, and we will start again in September to make a difference and actively support children with cancer and their families. Spending my free time and making a difference makes me proud and combines my work, my life, and my passion.”
