We desperatly need district heating, it’s cheaper in the bigger cities and the only way towards a more sustainable energy mix
easy to say “just renovate” when prices are sky rocketing. How can we afford to renovate when monthly expenses are rising every day. Are these people so out of touch?
Coal is cheaper and less taxed.

Wij gingen omkeerbare airco zetten als vervanging voor onze elektrische verwarming. 3 installateurs geweest, 1 wou het doen en dan alle buizen op de muur in kabelgoten leggen. En de buitenunits aan de muur in onze kleine stadstuin.
Dus voor 4800 euro gans het huis omzeep geholpen met lelijke goten maar we kunnen wel efficiënter verwarmen, joepie!
I don’t get this. Electricity is also prohibitively expensive, way more expensive than gas in fact (and taxed way more!). I’m not getting a heat pump unless they take those ridiculous taxes off the electricity bill.
It’s also funny how they say you first need to insulate your entire house. If you do that, how much are you still paying for gas? Seems like the part where you do the insulation is the real money-saver and getting a heat pump after that is a questionable investment at best. In fact, a well-insulated house together with “cheap” gas (compared to electricity) seems like the best-case scenario.
Don’t get me wrong, I think electrical heating *hás* to be the future. But the government isn’t doing anything to help. I think they’re afraid of making gas more expensive because they’re afraid that everyone living in a poorly-insulated house will be screwed as they can’t realistically heat electrically. I get that, but it means there’s no financial incentive to switch to electrical heating for people who do live in a well-insulated house.

Isn’t gas the most widespread in Germany? It also matters a lot how the electricity is produced, if it’s from solar or from coal it’s a completely different picture for heat pump.

Dus je gaat eerst een bom geld investeren om uw huis toch iets te isoleren, ga je daarna u blauw betalen aan een onefficiente warmtepomp. De return of investment zal een grap zijn.
Altijd maar praten over warmtepompen en isolatie gelijk dat dat op 1-2-3 is gedaan. Het kost veel geld. Daarmee is alles gezegd.
