Translation help: postcard

  1. I was recently in Brussels and bought the old postcard as a souvenir. I was wondering if anyone could translate it?

It’s hanging on my wall and want to know what it’s saying, perhaps it’s something weird or funny

  2. Here is what I was able to read. The last lines are very hard to read.

    Cher Georges,
    Nous venons de recevoir
    ton télégramme. Sommes
(…) M. le maître de chez grand maman. (…)
Mme (…) est toujours dans le même état. J.M.M.

    Dear George,
    We have just received
    your telegram. We are
happy to receive it. I am sending you
the Petit Bleu (ndt. newspaper) I forgot to buy you at the station
you would have had to pass your time, you’ll see that the
riddle was not very difficult. Write us a
card from Huy at the end of the week to
give us some news. We send you a thousand good kisses
as well as to mom and Juliette. (…). Maria is
very nice, she says that her brother left (…) the big
(…) Mr. the master of the grandmother’s. (…)
Mrs (…) is still in the same state. J.M.M.

Edit: *le petit bleu*, thanks LtToasterPizzas

  3. Not related to this postcard, but maybe interesting.

In the past secret lovers hid their messages behind the poststamp, so an innocent looking card could bypass censoring parents.
