But that isn’t what you’re doing.
You’re pretending to want some kind of national inquiry about grooming when multiple local inquires and a national inquiry have already been conducted.
Because you care about abuse victims sooooooo much, but not until Labour was in power and you could use it as an attack line against them. Nevermind the last government did fuckall to help, and now you think more conservatism is the answer.
This shouldn’t be a partisan issue, but because of the ethnicity of the perpetrators it is seen as some strange taboo.
Why is this suddenly an overriding concern for the Conservatives now that they’re out of office?
They had 15 years to “stand up for victims of mass rape” but chose not to. But apparently it’s now a national scandal that Labour haven’t done something in 6 months that the Conservatives didn’t do in a decade and a half.
No-one said it was
Since when has X been a news source?
This is the Tories following Musk and practically saying to him “we will do whatever you want”. Because that’s what they are doing here… Selling the country to a foreign individual. And going by the twitter comments…. Most of the right would be happy to sell the UK
It is if you only target one ethnic group and don’t mention others.
Politicising victims of mass rape is despicable.
What struck me as interesting today was that starmer was “outrgaged” and “done all he could” (5pm news).
Yet very strangely at 6pm Harman came out to say “we will be capturing and insisting authorities capture, the ethnicity of rapists from now on.”
This 2 years after the Alexis Jay inquiry concluded.
Furthermore, it is quite simple. The current government need only implement the reforms set out by Jay.
Personally, I think a national inquiry is required. Thus far the inquiries have been local, and as a result omitted areas affected.
And why not? Why wouldn’t you. Just look at the scale of this (1400 children within 16 years!!!), which implies at the least complicity from those in power, or at worst actively silencing whistleblowers and the victims themselves:
“Prof Jay had previously led a landmark local inquiry into widescale abuse in Rotherham, where it was estimated 1,400 children were exploited between 1997 and 2013, predominantly by men of Pakistani heritage.”
Starmers more concerned with the plight of sausages
These people care so much about groomed teenage girls that they are happy to use them for their own agenda.
And of course there is the uncomfortable case of the 15 year old girl who was groomed online, trafficked to a foreign country to be enslaved for sex with an adult violent man and forced to give birth several times while still a child in desperately unsafe conditions. They hate that one and want her dead.
Says a party in power for 14 years and done sweet FA about it.
Kick the can down the road and then blame the sucker left to pick it up.
Tories, full of shit now and always.
To me it seems that both Labour and the Tories are to blame for the severe lack of action against these things.
Why you all acting like it’s not the Pedos tht run the world & dn’t call the last shots???
Wish Elon had more persuasive power as he’s right, we’re under tyrannical rule.
It’s far-right to use the victims of abuse to further anti-migrant rhetoric.
It is far-right to cynically use the suffering of the victims of grooming gangs to make political capital and stir up hate against particular racial or religious groups.
Which is what Phelp, Jenrick and others are doing.
I’m old enough to remember Jimmy savile open for Margaret Thatcher at a conservative party conference id sit this one out if I was you
Difference is that is not why they are doing it
Funny they don’t seem to be targeting the royal family who had a nonce among them. Funny that.
So why did you only start caring about the victims when Elon started using it to try and attack the British government? Why not the previous 15 years of the tory government? Almost as if they care more about scoring political points than about the victims of such crimes
It is far right to totaly ignore it for years whilst in power cos it made you look bad then try to use the victims as political leverage now you’re in opposition though.
Except they dropped the ball when they had it, and did nothing for 14 years. I don’t call that “standing up”
Extremely annoying, 15 years to sort it . Fuck off!
Not a single political party in the UK that can be trusted. True reform means ridding ourselves of most every MP and lord. They have betrayed us all, politics aside, each of them is grubby. It never changes because it’s always the same cess pit of people. Red blue, yellow, they’re ALL at it.
Don’t care who did or said what in power or opposition, zero political gain or loss from this. Just have the enquiry. I can’t believe it’s even up for debate.
Tory scum basically decriminalised rape via Police, CPS, and Prison austerity while Starmer was prosecuting who he could as his budgets were slashed by degenerates like Jeremy Hunt lookalikes like Chris Philip.
They can get fucked.
Real good look for Labour that.
The statement is true.
The reality is false, all of the gangs existed under a conservative government.
Whilst it’s not individual MPs fault, nor likely many MPs currently in parliament.
It was a position / group of policies that allowed the situation to persist.
I’ve not read the enquiries findings, I’m not aware of details.
But it seems impossible that so many complaints, accusations, whistle-blowers and witnesses could just not bring about real action by the police.
Dear Labour,
Please clear up this mess we’ve been ignoring for 14 years. If you don’t fix it immediately you hate children.
Signed
The last government.
