The fact that Bulgaria doesn’t have population decline as its single overwhelming priority shows utter lack of foresight.
We must preserve… and so on. The word use in the title is straight up taken from right wing Great Replacement bullshit. Maybe OP didn’t know, maybe he did but he sure should reconsider how to say it better.
How are the large urban areas in Bulgaria doing? Is only Sofia growing or are places like Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Ruse etc keeping up as well?
Bulgaria has some very beautiful cities so it would be sad to see them depopulate 🙁
At the end of century they will have around 3-4 million people…
Funny thing, countries like Germany or southern Sweden are more and more dense populated, but for example Bulgaria and Poland will become more and more empty, despite beeing perfectly habitable. EU will have a one big issue to solve, because more uneven distribution of population can bring lotta negative consequences.
And this is a problem because…?
This is the issue with other countries in the Balkans as well. Something is very wrong with the way people live in the Balkans, population is aware of it subconsciously and this is the result but they are not trying to change things.
