The Princess wore Celene ski goggles on the slopes while she posed with her father, who donned burnt orange goggles for the holiday activities, a break from their royal residence at Haga Palace in Stockholm.

Posting on the royal house’s official Instagram account, the Crown family captioned their alpine update ‘God fortsättning!’ – wishing followers ‘good continuation’, or a good rest of their Winter holidays.

A faltering fairytale? Everything you need to know about the first year of King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark’s rollercoaster reign

The Crown family are following in a great tradition of royal ski holidays. Lech, in Austria, is a particular favourite for the great and the gilded – from Princess Diana‘s 1994 getaway with Prince William and Prince Harry, to King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands holiday with Queen Maxima, Princess Catharina-Amalia and Princess Alexia in 2006. Sarah Ferguson often took a young Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to Verbier, Switzerland, as they grew up, and Zara Tindall took to the slopes in Klosters during her own childhood.

Even without some royal slope styles, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar certainly seem to have enjoyed their Christmas season. Last month, Crown Princess Victoria’s sister, Princess Madeleine, shared a rare photograph of the younger generation of the House of Bernadotte. Her three children – Princess Leonore, ten, Prince Nicolas, nine, and Princess Adrienne, six – were joined by their grandmother, Queen Silvia, as well as Princess Estelle, and Prince Oscar as they gathered around a Christmas tree at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
