He’s also a Christian fundamentalist who has pissed of a number of Christian groups in his constituency that do believe in climate action. Plus he thinks we should go back to the gold standard.
If you live in Wycombe his seat is easily flipable at the next election. But only if you vote tactically.
You would think that Brexiters would want the UK to be energy independent and sustainable, as part of Thier taking back control, rather than be beholden to unelected International corporations.
Gonna assume this guy is probably also (directly or indirectly) receiving funds from the American right.
jesus, £5,000? that’s all? i could afford a politician. maybe i could pay steve baker to jump off a bridge.
Another corrupt Tory who’s selfish greed has doomed us all again whoopty fucking do
At least the anti-expert crowd this guy typifies is consistent; I suppose that’s a small positive. Economic experts, trade experts, political experts, virology experts, epidemiology experts, and now climate experts, all can be ignored in favour of things they want or imagine to be true.
5k, what’s even the point? What is 5k tto someone already earning nearly 90?
Our government is absolutely riddled with corrupt compromised cunts.
That £5k is not going to be enough to protect him from the effects of climate change for long. People like this think they will be protected from the effects of climate change if they help the polluters or the thinktanks peddling propaganda, they will be gutted when they find out they have been used and are left to their doom with the rest of us.
I’m not pissed off that a British politician took a bribe anymore, I’m just insulted at how cheap they are. Instead of saving for a deposit, I’m just going to start saving to buy a politician instead.
But according to Tories, taking backhanders from parties with a vested interest in how you govern isn’t an issue. Ask the Russians.
Pretty cheap if you ask me… and by that I mean the amount and the wanker who took it.
