This is frightening and yet… if he went 52 years without ever giving any cause to investigate him before, that makes him a hell of a lot better than so many other motorists out there…
This happened to my grandad, he only got caught in his 70s and had to pay a court fine 😂
I’m not surprised. Last year I discovered that my mother had passed her driving test and obtained her license… after about 34 years of driving her 5 children and grandchild around in cars.
She’s 58, and had never passed her driving test when she was younger, and just, like, didn’t ever tell anyone? I don’t even know if she’d ever had lessons.
Is this much of a surprise? Apart from things like car rental, I think I’ve shown my license once in my life and I’m no spring chicken. Sure I’ve been stopped by the police especially when young, but only once had to take my license to the police station due to it.
He is probably as good a driver as anyone else who has been driving for 52 years. I remember when I passed my test (about 25 years ago), an older colleague told me, now you can *actually* learn to drive. You don’t really learn until you have driven daily, on your own, without L plates, on whatever roads you need to drive on.
The bigger problem is surely that he wasn’t insured?
My Grandad never took a test. It was from a time you just applied for a license and got one so it was legal of course. Honestly if this person has been driving for 52 years they are probably *OK*, they had never been stopped before.

This is how you know you have a maxed stealth skill.
This be a new one and not:

Makes you wonder how many of them are doing this.
