Slovenia will select its Eurovision 2025 entry via “EMA 2025″.
RTV SLO revealed that Raiven and Štras will host the show.
Raiven, who represented Slovenia in Eurovision 2024 with “Veronika“, commented:
Hosting EMA gives me the responsibility to connect the event with people who follow it with great expectations and passion. The thought of EMA brings me a lot of nostalgia. I have experience as a performer and as a host, so above all I want EMA to be a stage where music and creativity meet without unnecessary criticism and pressure.
She will be joined on stage by the singer of the popular band MRFY,
Gregor Strasbergar – Štras, for whom this will be his first hosting experience. He commented:
“The thought of hosting Ema doesn’t give me much pleasure yet, but more stress.” “Half the country will probably spit on me, but fortunately they will spit on our new representative more“
In addition, RTV SLO will organize a special preview show hosted by Bernarda Žarn and Jože Robežnik. The preview show will be held on January 25th.
Each artist will be interviewed and we will have a chance to listen to a short excerpt of their song. The snippets will also be released on YouTube.
“EMA 2025” – Known Details
The show will be held on Saturday, the 1st of February 2025, in the format of a TV show.
The results will be determined by 2 rounds:
Round 1: 12 artists will compete for 2 spots in the super-final. The results will be based on a 100% jury vote.
Round 2: The top 2 artists will face a public vote.
In the final, the 5 jury panels will be involved, each of them consisting of 5 members:
OGAE Slovenia
Music Jury
Television Jury
Radio Jury
International Eurovision influencers
The jury will rank the songs in the range of 1-8, 10, and 12 points.
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th and 17th of May 2025
